Paspaley Pearl is a boutique expedition yacht built to access the Kimberley’s most remote and untouched locations; places larger ships simply can’t reach. These journeys are immersive and adventurous, placing you right at the heart of the landscape.

Daily excursions are conducted by specially designed aluminium adventure tenders and Zodica’s. Boarding often involves stepping in and out while the tender is in shallow water. Once ashore, you may encounter uneven terrain, rock scrambling, or short hikes to reach Indigenous rock art, swimming holes, or breathtaking lookouts. You will always have plenty of help in and out of the tenders.

Your 14 day package includes a 12-day small ship adventure between Wyndham/Kununurra and Broome (or the reverse) PLUS one night in Broome and a town sightseeing tour.

You’ll experience the tidal wonder of Montgomery Reef, the power of Horizontal Falls, and the towering beauty of King George Falls plus King Cascade. Fitness – What our ratings mean*

We want you to feel confident and comfortable on your journey. While this isn’t extreme adventure travel, some level of physical ability is important to get the most enjoyment out of each experience. Here is our general guide to help you understand what’s involved:

  • Low Fitness (Minimum Standard)
    You need to be able to walk up and down stairs unaided, with one hand free to hold the rail—especially important in the case of an emergency. If this sounds like you, it’s definitely worth having a quick chat with us. We’ll walk you through which excursions are realistic for you, and where there might be some limitations.
  • Moderate Fitness
    You should be steady on your feet and able to walk over uneven ground, including stepping into a zodiac or other expedition vessel and from into shallow water and walking across wet sand to the beach. Some walks may include rocky areas, so good balance is important. Walks are generally up to two kilometres and could be in warm or humid conditions.
  • Good Fitness
    We don’t mean you need to be training for a marathon—just a solid level of steadiness and confidence on your feet. You should be comfortable walking over three kilometres over uneven terrain, climbing over rocks, and navigating slightly more challenging water landings or natural waterholes. It’s active, but very rewarding.

We highly recommend Travel insurance for Your Kimberley Cruise. Generally speaking this insurance should cover remote area and sea medical evacuation as well as the correct amount to cover you for cancelling within the terms and conditions of the insurance you choose. We would be happy to supply you with a competitive quote.

Our Expeditions are often to remote parts of the world and can include walks over uneven terrain, boarding zodiacs (with assistance) and walking through water. If you have any concerns about your fitness to travel on these Expeditions please contact our experts for advice on 1300 654 861.

It is not a requirement for passengers to carry passports when travelling in the Kimberley. As an Australian-flagged operator, they remain within Australian waters throughout domestic voyages.

For Australians – a visa is not required.

For overseas visitors a visa may be required for Australia

This package price is based on low season rates. Please note that high season surcharges may apply, particularly for departures in June, July, and August. We’ll always advise you of any pricing changes before confirming your booking.
