Designed for active travellers, this land journey includes rewarding hikes over uneven terrain, bringing you closer to the landscape and culture of this ancient region.
Then unwind in style aboard Le Jacques Cartier, where every stateroom features a private balcony and daily guided Zodiac excursions reveal tidal phenomena like Montgomery Reef, the power of Horizontal Falls, and hidden rock art sites only accessible by sea. This is the Kimberley—raw, remote, and absolutely unforgettable.

Tastefully decorated, Le Jacques-Cartier reflects the universe so dear to PONANT, with its light tones and open-to-the-sea design providing soft light and luminosity at every instant of the day. Its ethnic chic ambiance pays homage to the destinations we visit.
APT Complete Kimberley: This tour includes some longer, more challenging hikes over uneven terrain. A good level of health and fitness is required on tour to undertake walks in hot conditions or uneven terrain. If you have trouble with balance, walking poles can be a great help. We would be happy to supply you with a competitive quote.
Our Expeditions are often to remote parts of the world and can include walks over uneven terrain, boarding zodiacs (with assistance) and walking through water. If you have any concerns about your fitness to travel on these Expeditions please contact our experts for advice on 1300 654 861.
Yes, a valid passport is required for Ponant cruises departing from Australia. Due to maritime law and the ship’s French registry, all Ponant vessels must leave Australian territorial waters at some point during the voyage. This means you’ll be required to clear immigration and customs both before embarkation and upon disembarkation.
Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond the end of your cruise. Visa requirements may vary depending on your itinerary and nationality, so we recommend checking with the relevant authorities or speaking with us for guidance.
