About Viking Ganges

Purpose-built for immersive river journeys through India, Viking Ganges is an identical sister ship to Viking Brahmaputra, offering an intimate and elegant way to explore the region’s remarkable landscapes and cultural treasures.

Welcoming just 80 guests, this modern vessel combines Viking’s signature Scandinavian-inspired design with spacious accommodation and inviting areas to relax between days of discovery.

Each of the ship’s 40 outside-facing staterooms offers views of the passing scenery, with a choice of Veranda Staterooms and spacious Explorer Suites. Guests can enjoy a panoramic restaurant, comfortable lounge and bar, Sky Bar, library, Spa & Fitness Center and thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces while sailing along the river.

Dining aboard Viking Ganges features a variety of regional specialties and familiar favourites, served in the ship’s panoramic restaurant with views of the passing scenery. All onboard meals are included, with complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks served with lunch and dinner, as well as specialty coffees, teas and bottled water available throughout the day.

Viking can accommodate a range of dietary requirements and food allergies with advance notice. Guests are encouraged to advise of any special dietary needs before departure and speak with the onboard team upon arrival so appropriate arrangements can be made throughout the journey.

Dress aboard Viking Ganges is casual and comfortable during the day, with shorts, trousers or jeans and comfortable walking shoes suitable for excursions.

In the evening, the dress code is elegant casual, with dresses, skirts or trousers with a blouse or sweater for women, and trousers with a collared shirt for men.

Modest clothing that covers the knees and shoulders is recommended when visiting religious sites.
