Ocean Dream is an outstanding 86 foot twin-hull catamaran designed for luxury cruising. Built in 2005 and extensively refurbished with a modern sophisticated interior, this on-water retreat can accommodate 12 guests across six ensuite staterooms in luxury and comfort.
With the many benefits that a catamaran has to offer, you will be amazed by the sheer volume of space and comfort on board Ocean Dream. Relax in one of the many lounging areas or soak up the surroundings from the six seater spa. There are indoor and outdoor dining options and a wet bar featuring an espresso machine. There are numerous toys and equipment for activities and the vessel’s helicopter pad is an exciting option available by prior arrangement.

Located upstairs on the Fly Bridge Deck is the superior Kimberley Stateroom. The port side Kimberley Stateroom features a queen size bed and is beautifully appointed with a luxurious ensuite and has large panoramic windows to keep you connected with the incredible vista outside. Cabin size is 11.5 sqm.
The starboard side Whitsunday Stateroom features lush twin single beds. The room is beautifully appointed with a private ensuite and has large panoramic windows to keep you connected with the incredible vista outside. Cabin size is 11.5 square metres.
Located downstairs on the Lower Main Deck is the Rowley Shoals Stateroom. The port side Rowley Shoals Stateroom features a queen size bed. This stateroom is extremely comfortable as it is located in the most stable part of the vessel. The stateroom has a spacious ensuite and 2 large rectangular windows to frame the landscape outside. Cabin size is 11.30 square metres.
Located on the Main Deck is the superior Rottnest Stateroom. The port side Rottnest Stateroom features a queen size bed and a private ensuite. The room is exquisitely furnished in an elegant neutral décor and has large panoramic windows that bathe the cabin with natural light. Cabin size is 12.2 square metres.
The Abrolhos Stateroom on the Main Deck features a newly installed Queen bed on the starboard side. It boasts an elegant neutral décor, a private ensuite, and large panoramic windows that fill the cabin with natural light. The cabin measures 12.2 square meters in size.
Located downstairs on the Lower Main Deck is the Montebello Stateroom. The starboard side Montebello Stateroom features a queen size bed. This stateroom is extremely comfortable as it is located in the most stable part of the vessel. The stateroom has a spacious ensuite and 2 large rectangular windows to frame the landscape outside. Cabin size is 11.30 sqm.
Expedition travel is about getting to remote places that are often rocky, sandy, wet and glasslands. Sturdy, comfortable footwear is essential. Each destination may have slightly different requirements however every cruise will require runners or walking boots that are worn in and comfortable. If you are worried about ankles etc make sure you have boots that support you.
Important Note
For wet landings, cheaper neoprene reef shoes, flip-flops, and crocs are not suitable for any terrain. If you do not want to invest in a new pair of sandals, you can use old runners (that will get ruined) for getting your feet wet and then change into dry walking shoes. This does mean carrying a second pair of shoes and a hand towel to dry your feet.

While aboard Ocean Dream, guests are treated to an unforgettable and personalised dining experience with each meal. The chef meticulously prepares and serves freshly caught fish, mud crabs, and oysters, offering a true ocean-to-table experience. Additionally, Ocean Dream Charters provides guests with all non-alcoholic beverages, cruise transfers to and from the vessel, and boat rides to the Horizontal Falls as part of their adventure package.
Ocean Dream offers BYO amenities, allowing guests to pre-order their preferred drinks, which are then labeled and delivered to the vessel in advance of their arrival. Additionally, complimentary beverages are served during meals for all Kimberley cruises.
Due to the remote locations visited during adventure cruises, mobile phone reception is unavailable, rendering phones unusable for calls. However, in case of emergencies, the vessel is equipped with a satellite phone. While internet access is feasible, it’s subject to limitations and irregular availability based on location. While encouraging guests to disconnect and fully engage with the cruise experience, the company acknowledges the importance of maintaining contact with loved ones.
Additional charges apply for the use of the satellite phone and internet, arrangements for which can be made through the vessel’s captain. The company’s office is available to facilitate communication between guests and the vessel.
Most walks are leisurely strolls along beaches, however, there are some more strenuous walks on offer. An alternative excursion will always be offered in place of higher impact walks.The Expedition Team will advise walking conditions and requirements before each excursion. Should you have any physical limitations or mobility issues, please notify our reservations team in advance prior to your departure.
The amount of swimming/snorkeling and scuba options will vary depending on your itinerary. There are very limited swimming options in the Kimberley. The saltwater regions are the home of large saltwater crocodiles and some freshwater holes flood with saltwater on high tides. The expedition team will offer this option when conditions and tides allow.

On the Great Barrier Reef, Islands of East Indies, New Guinea and Micronesia, and many other regions that we explore, you will enjoy opportunities to snorkel and scuba dive over some of the most diverse ecosystems of colorful and pristine coral reefs. On expeditions, you are able to snorkel from many places such as beaches, sand cays and from our Xplorer tenders. Additionally, the Expedition Team will offer drift snorkels where suitable, and guided snorkel tours. At each site the Expedition Team will provide you with a site briefing, which will cover rest stations, points of interest and water entry and exit practices.
Snorkeling and scuba diving departments are fully stocked with a wide range of snorkels, fins and masks (including prescription masks) along with all the necessary equipment to allow you to try the unforgettable experience that is scuba diving. Snorkeling equipment will be assigned to all guests at the commencement of each cruise. You are welcome to take your own snorkel, fins and mask if you prefer.
