Seeing a polar bear in the wild is something I’ll never forget. Whales, walrus, and endless ice — it felt like stepping into a nature documentary. The wildlife just goes about its business, and you feel incredibly lucky just to witness it. We loved the snow and made sure we had all the right layers so we could get out and enjoy it. Kayaking in the icy ocean was incredible — being so close to nature and learning how life thrives in such a harsh climate was an experience I’ll never forget.
I loved the remoteness of the Arctic and that incredible feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. The towns were beautiful, full of history, and had a quiet charm that completely captivated me. Bears, bears everywhere — but not for me! I was so jealous that Dani got to see one. Still, spotting reindeer, huskies, and walruses on the ice was absolutely incredible. The ice shelves were fascinating too — vast, sculpted, and the calving was amazing.
